Frequently asked questions
What to do if tracking shows as delivered but is missing.
We cannot reimburse orders that were misdelivered by the post office or stolen from a property, thank you for understanding!
A pkg may be marked delivered but arrive next day, wait a day then Contact your local post office. Make sure to call your LOCAL OFFICE, and NOT the USPS HOTLINE (this can take a lot of time, and they only tell you what your tracking says). Ask them who delivered the parcel, and ask them details about that day's delivery. Pkgs are usually scanned. Priority mail is insured.
If the parcel does not show up (extremely rare occasion), please call the Post Office and file a claim. You can call the USPS Hotline to file a claim, or you can do online.
What about FREE shipping?
Sorry about the shipping prices folks. We don't make 'em...USPS and FedEx do. . We will combine orders where we can and save a couple bucks and refund overages above $1. There's no such thing as a free lunch...or free shipping. "Free shipping" just mean the highest shipping charge is rolled into the price...people closer to me who could pay less for shipping are then paying as much for the item as folks on the coasts. Hardly free. So, we rarely offer "free" shipping. You'll only see it on the little things where we can take a hit in our pocket book and absorb some of the shipping cost.
Can I cook in or eat out of items?
If you are purchasing an item which is not normally used to hold food or for food consumption... LTV is not to be held liable. We do not advise eating from decorative plates, vessels, containers, pitchers etc. IE: If you shop at a flea market you cannot hold the seller responsible if you get sick eating out of an old metal pot.
What if the item breaks when I use it?
If a vintage item breaks with use we are not responsible. Many aged items are fragile and for display only. They were not made to withstand usage. We do NOT state they are sturdy enough for USAGE but may be sturdy items for display (in direct terms – the item is holding together despite the age but we don’t know if it will hold together if you use it for anything but display)

Please contact me within 3 days of receipt of purchase. If I have not been contacted by 7 days, LTV is not to be held responsible. I always work to help the buyer when resolving any issue. I want everyone to be happy!
Returning an item because you changed your mind is not a reason for return. That’s buyers’ remorse and is not a valid reason. Because the item doesn’t quite fit the décor the way you envisioned is not a valid reason. We offered to answer questions and send more pictures.
If you return an item without discussing an issue we will NOT refund.

If we accept a return and have given permission for the return, the return shipping is the buyers’ responsibility. NO shipping will be refunded. Refund will be for purchase price only, Returns and Refunds are given only if item was grossly misrepresented. Sending an item back is considered a forced return by Etsy and we are not required to issue a refund. If item had no-charge shipping a 15% restocking fee will be retained.

Why don't you insure glass in picture frame? What if mine breaks?
We don't insure glass over 14" since it is more likely to be broken the larger the piece. We have had very good luck thus far with only 2 claims for glass breakage. Which leads us to what happens if yours breaks-
You may file a claim with the shipping company (USPS). Please photo the package to show any damage as well as the item. You can get replacement glass at a frame shop or store like Hobby Lobby.
If the art is damaged the claim will then be for your entire cost and shipping as it will be considered a total loss. We will assist in your claim however we can, but the shipper wants to hear from you.
My item was damaged when I received it. What happens now?
First - take a photo of the package - external packaging, internal packaging
Second- take a photo of the damaged item.
Third - contact me.
If it was insured through USPS I will give you the link to begin the claim.
If it was insured through Etsy I will begin the claim process and I will send you the docs to verify for them.
I do not pay the claim.
I do not control the time it takes to get a refund.
We will assist however we can in the claim process but they want to hear from you.
Once it leaves my hands it is between you and the shipper.
Protect yourself and make a claim easier - if a package has had some trauma when it arrives - take a photo, then more photos as you open it and then photos of the damaged item.

What is VINTAGE? Hint: Not New.
VINTAGE is an item 20+ years old. It IS NOT NEW. ....the item has a history. A history of use and enjoyment. We give you a written description and pictures to zoom in on. You can look at the signs of use, wear and age. Some things just don't show well in photos. Ask questions or for more photos. We will do what we can to give you the best verbal and visual description we can. Yes, there will be minor scratches, patina, tarnish, spots, wax on candleholders, etc. Vintage items are rarely perfect. We clean it some and sometimes polish it, but many people prefer the weathered look. If you expect NEW and unused you should avoid vintage items. That's ok, it's just not your thing.
